The Director of Mobile/Digital Store Technologies, based in San Francisco, will develop the mobile marketing strategy, ideas for improvements to mobile commerce and design new app concepts. Your goal is to maximize sales and engagement using mobile technologies. Create useful and delightful mobile content and features to enhance the client experience when clients are in store or on the go.
The position reports to the VP of Interactive Media and works closely with product management, ecommerce and retail groups.
The successful candidate must have 2+ plus years of experience managing or developing mobile applications and/or services and 5+ years in digital marketing.
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Develop and execute the mobile marketing roadmap.
• Identify opportunities and develop new mobile concepts, features and business requirements for mobile commerce and apps
• Be an expert with respect to how consumers use mobile services and applications, within and outside the retail category
• Become an expert with respect to competition
• Work with external third parties to assess partnerships and marketing opportunities
• Run beta and pilot programs with early-stage mobile marketing companies
• Analyze sales and usage data
• Assist in the QA process prior to all product launches
• Manage agencies as needed
Proactively contribute to related areas of the business, specifically Social Media / Social Mobile initiatives
REQUIREMENTS
• 2+ years working in mobile program management within retail, technology or consumer products
• 5+ years working in digital marketing
• Understanding of mobile applications and wireless device platforms including SMS text messaging, mobile web, and mobile clients on platforms such as iPhone, Android, Blackberry, Palm WebOS, J2ME, etc.
• Proficiency with basic design and UI issues
• Proven ability to create, analyze and communicate analytics and performance metrics
• Proven ability to write and edit digital media
• Proficiency working with web-based tools (content management systems, etc)
• Strong communication skills (both verbal and written)
• Strong time-management skills and ability to prioritize
• Ability to collaborate with a marketing, retail and product management teams
• Experience working to meet team-based project outcomes
