Job Description Recognized as the national leader in luxury cosmetics retailing and spa services, Bluemercury, Inc. is seeking dynamic, experienced individuals to support our national retail store roll-out. With locations from Washington, DC to Los Angeles, CA, bluemercury brings expert, honest advice, world renowned spa treatments, and indulgent luxury beauty products to clients demanding high service and sophisticated information.
The ideal candidate is an expert project manager, detail oriented, resourceful, and wants to play an important role in our internet success. We are looking for someone who is multi-faceted in their approach, strives in an entrepreneurial environment, is forward thinking and has the uncanny ability to turn ideas into web traffic and online sales.
This position is responsible for strategic and hands-on activities relating to all aspects of bluemercury.com’s e-commerce program, including creating and maintaining site content, optimizing content for search engines and tracking performance.
Primary Responsibilities:
· Web site project management.
· Create, edit and update web pages using Marketlive, a template-based solution.
· Establish policies and procedures for maintaining and updating the site.
· Work with graphics to create layouts and apply to templates.
· Identify key performance metrics for revenue, traffic and sales and establish regular reporting practices.
· Based on performance indicators, proactively review and revise site content and design to increase revenue and usability; devise testing methods for comparing design and content prototypes.
· Plan, budget, create and track advertising campaigns, including search marketing across several search engines and online advertising; design and implement test strategies and creative to optimize results.
· Establish and enact daily keyword monitoring routines for search engine optimization across several search engines, and proactively edit copy to improve rankings.
Talent and Experience:
· Expert project management skills.
· Strong experience in e-commerce, search engine marketing and web traffic generation.
· A thorough understanding of search engine optimization strategies with hands-on knowledge of placing, tracking and maintaining paid keyword campaigns.
· Diligent attention to detail, thrives under pressure, and works with a sense of urgency.
· Analytical skills and the ability to perform research and reporting and use the results to make effective strategic decisions are required.
· Knowledge of HTML and the conceptual understanding of other Web applications are required. Experience with the MarketLive platform is preferred.
· Expert knowledge of PhotoShop, XML and database management (i.e. Microsoft Access or other).
· Must be able to multi-task and meet deadlines
