SUMMARY Responsible for managing the day-to-day activities of the public relations department, including overseeing the public relations coordinator position. Assists public relations director with strategic direction of the program. This position reports to the PR Director. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Primary day-to-day liaison with the press. Help Director with Company's public relations plans, strategies, policies, and procedures. Develops contacts and relationships with media representatives to create opportunities for keeping the Company and its products or services in front of public and the trade. Oversees management of media database and all other public relations tools. Manages departmental budget day-to-day. Helps to develop ideas and opportunities for feature articles, interviews, presentations, and other public relations activities that promote awareness of the Company and its products or services. Manages press preview events and is primary contact for related outside vendors. Manages the production of press look book with in house creative team. Facilitate all press interviews with upper management. QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. A.) or equivalent; or Five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Consumer public relations experience a must. Retail public relations experience preferred. Knowledge of online marketing world a plus.
