SUMMARY Responsible for planning, forecasting and replenishment of product for catalog and web channels to achieve objectives for sales, margin, inventory and in stock for selected departments. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Manage item and department level catalog, event and web channel forecasts, insure flow of inventory to support event plans by placing/adjusting orders, monitor order status for on time delivery and proactively identify issues, to achieve goals for sales, margin, and turn. Maintain all required communication to support the product collateral ordering/fulfillment process. Coordinate with operations the ordering of assembly products and materials to insure availability of finished goods as planned. Maintain communication with vendors and agents regarding purchasing lead times, current purchase order status, shipping and delivery issues. Resolve back orders, partnering with Customer Service to communicate backorder statuses and required customer notifications. Communicate with operations, accounts payable, and vendors to resolve receiving discrepancies. Plan markdown strategy at the item level, to include planning of sell thru and exit strategy for seasonal goods, monitoring item performance and suggesting markdowns to minimize inventory liability while maximizing GM%. Monitor performance at the department and classification level, partner with Buyers to identify assortment edits and opportunities, merchandising strategies, and markdowns which support achieving department plans. Analyze item, classification and department performance for Catalogs, Events and web channel in order to identify opportunities and issues. Complete weekly status and Open to Buy reports at the assigned department level. Other duties may be assigned. A.) or equivalent; or two to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Strong Excel skills, experience working with merchandising and planning systems.
