ASSISTANT STORE PLANNING ANALYST

POSITION SUMMARY
Responsible for coordinating merchandising processes for successful execution of new stores, remodels and retrofits. Coordinate new store opening process for 40+ stores, and seasonal retrofits for 100+ existing stores. Primary responsibility is to make sure inventory for new stores arrives according to schedule. Effectively communicate on a regular basis with many parts of the organization, including: New Store Opening Team/Regional Directors/District Managers, CDC, and Merchandising (both Merchant and Inventory teams). Develop and execute operational improvements including transition of brand setup and ordering from inventory team. Develop, document and communicate best practices and benchmarks. Provide project support to Store Planning Analysts.
RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Ensure correct assortments are setup and activated for accurate inventory ordering.
2. Place orders for new stores, retrofits and remodels, including tester orders.
3. Work directly with Merchandise Assistants to ensure orders arrive according to timeline and stores reach 96% in-stock fill rate.
4. Prepare and distribute weekly pre-opening and post-opening inventory analysis reports.
5. Create and maintain Retrofit Assortment Change & New Store Timing grids.
6. System maintenance for new stores as needed.
7. Develop best practices including assortment setup and ordering for new stores and retrofits.
8. Additional department projects and analysis as needed.
9. Willingness to grow with the role as responsibilities of the position evolve with the growth of the company.
Requirements
1. Results-oriented.
2. Strong organizational skills, able to track multiple projects (specifically simultaneous store openings)
3. High level of accuracy, able to detect inconsistencies and errors.
4. Strong numbers aptitude. Able to compile data and build assumptions based on analysis.
5. Ability to balance patience with a sense of urgency and maintain a positive attitude.
6. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
7. Ability to work with diversity in a team environment.
8. Knowledge of E3, MCS and Cognos (or equivalent replenishment, order management and analysis systems) a plus.
9. Minimum 2 years retail experience in a fast-paced environment.
10. Minimum 4-year degree.
