Online Visual Merchandising Assistant NYC, NY	Bluefly

Job Description Online Visual Merchandising Assistant Bluefly.com, a leading online merchant offering top designer and name brand apparel and accessories at significant discounts, is seeking a driven Online Retail Merchandising Assistant to join their team. This position will report to a Manager of Online Retail Merchandising. Position: The Online Visual Merchandising Assistant will be responsible for supporting the efforts of the Manager of Online Retail Merchandising. Key responsibilities include: • Order and track samples from warehouse for photo shoots and ensure they arrive in a timely manner for weekly scheduled shoot dates. • Check in photo shoot samples as they arrive and return to stock after completion of shoot in exact condition as they were sent. • Organize and set up product in studio prior to all photo shoots. • Attend photo shoots as additional representative of Online Retail, as necessary, to assure product is shot correctly and is an adequate representation of merchandise, on and off figure. • Work closely with Production Team and become proficient in Bluefly’s eCommerce tools, in order be aware of product location. • Work with Online Retail team to preview product assortments and features before promotion goes onsite. • Research and compile screenshots of competitor’s site for new and exciting merchandising ideas for Bluefly. Qualifications: • BA/BS degree • 1-2 years experience • Strong fashion sensibility • Outstanding attention to detail • A team player and self-starter • Creative problem-solving skills • Strong computer skills (including Excel, Word, and great knowledge of the Internet) • Ability to handle multiple tasks and aggressive deadlines while working in fun, fast paced environment Benefits: In addition to providing a dynamic, highly motivated environment, Bluefly offers its employees: Competitive salary, health and dental benefits, 401K and an employee discount.
